They pay well and have a pretty SF and Paris office. They really try to do good on onboarding.
Overall would probably be 3 stars if it weren’t so unstable and always layoffs. It is an odd culture that teeters on worshipping Chuck. No solid motivation or direction and no innovation. They are so behind the times.
Stock has actually gone up 6% in the last 3 months. Quarterly revenue up yoy. Solid cloud play. TC 430k Yoe 14 #Google #FAANG #meta #Amazon #Microsoft #Cisco #Oracle

"Arista’s focus is on cloud service providers, which represent more than half of the vendor’s revenue, Boujelbene said. The networking company has also been attempting to “diversify its business” by dipping its feet into the enterprise market in recent years. Cisco, on the other hand, finds most of...Read more
Hi, I got an offer at Cisco Fog Director (IoT) team. Work sounds interesting but also IoT is at very nascent stage wrt adoption and revenue. It can take off like cloud or bust to nothing. For those that own or plan to own Cisco stock, what are you folks doing with your $CSCO positions? Most recent quarter was pretty bad and there was a 9-11% revenue decline guidance for the next quarter. Dumping or Selling? Holding? Buying or hoarding? What's your rationale?
As tech gets laid off are we going to see an uptick in people working at tier 3 & 4 companies with average TC? Not talking tier in terms of revenue, in fact these are old established companies doing “cloud migration” Tier 3 and/or 4: T-Mobile, Chase, Bank Of America, USAA, Walmart, Chevron, Exxon, ...Read more
Why is Palo Alto networks so overvalued? The don’t do anything related to AI and have good competition from Cisco and Arista on the networking hardware side. Fortinet, splunk and a few other companies do cybersecurity and have good market share. I’m pretty sure they can’t keep growing their revenue...Read more
Cisco stocks used to be good when trump was in office, but hey, all tech stocks were good when trump was in office. But I still sold my RSU and ESPP as soon as I got them cuz I don't see a future in cisco. Revenue growth, culture, tech, they all lack behind MAANG and competitors like Palo alto and ...Read more
I’m an Account Manager at Cisco. I’m looking to transition into more of a SaaS / cloud play and I have a shot at ServiceNow in the Federal Space. Any thoughts on this move? Oracle crushed earnings and stock was up by 10% touching 105 range. Later when broader market is doing well (apple/fang , avgo, cisco, intel), why oracle is down ? Broader market as of this month cares about profitable companies with good fundamentals and oracle fits well in it. I felt cloud (oci/s...Read more

People who say vmware is dying company don't know anything. I think vmware was on right path after many years to grow faster. People will just say 1) 3% revenue growth, this happens when you move to ARR , happened to cisco, hpe. 2) Multi cloud strategy is failure as everyone will migrate to clo...Read more

Unfortunately, my coworker at Cisco got laid off the other day. She is very bright, and one of the main reasons she got laid off, was due to the fact that she was originally put on a dead project that didn't generate much revenue. This was out of her control, and she was performing great. I have no ...Read more
