The people are very experienced and there are a few interesting projects happening.
I have had both good managers and bad ones; te disheartening part is that there is no way we can complain about most bad ones. The hikes and appraisals are peanuts even with a great performance review; almost no career growth.

I think ranking goes Google (2013-2019, 2023) = Netflix > Meta > Apple > Amazon > Microsoft > IBM > Yahoo > Google (2020-2022) Massive diff within Google talents P.S. I think Google is in the middle of pipping bad hires. I know a couple pandemic hire with M rating and got fired/laid
I find it odd that when industry experts mention that Google is maturing into the new IBM, there will be dozens of people discrediting the claim. IBM was and will be one of the most impactful corporations to ever exists, yet like Google it grew too cozy, non innovative and reliant on a huge cash co...Read more

This is the answer by ChatGPT. Any thought? It's difficult to create a definitive tier list for tech companies since different people may have different criteria and opinions on what makes a company "tier 1" or "tier 2." However, here's a rough ranking of some of the top tech companies based on fac...Read more

Not super well known (the likes of FANG) Great WLB (<;= 40h, no or low on call). Good culture, no stack ranking, nice people, family friendly. Ok salary, enough to live but not for the TC chasers. I’ve heard good things about Expedia, Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc. Can you share your gem company?
The list ranking primarily TC while also considering career growth. This list is meant for those prioritizing their careers and thus work life balance is not considered. I personally believe WLB is impossible to rank as it is team dependent and that's another reason it isn't considered. The companie...Read more
