Nike is infamous for poaching from other big companies, however, they do not invest in their employees. Career advancement and opportunity is non-existent and management is a good ole boys club. You don’t get get promoted because Nike only promotes during reorg else you have to just Apple for a new role if you want to make it to the next level. No in role promotions at Nike. Nike is a system based on favoritism so you’ll hear a lot “own your career and build your board of advisors”. Also known as people with hiring power that can hire you for future opportunities. It’s not a company based on skill and talent.
Came across an ex Nike person and made the mistake of hiring them. Their organization is highly toxic, about 25% of reports are out on leave , clear hierarchy of who is valued and who is not, blaming and finger pointing. Never seen it this bad. #politics
