This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President, IT Operations (ITO) and manages the business operations and processes across the entire organization. This leader must be a seasoned executive who is a strategic and innovative thinker, technically savvy, and operationally fluent with the ability to quickly move from the strategic to the tactical. Combined with strong operational and leadership skills, this leader must be able to bring along a team with the empathy for and understanding of the consumer needs. This position will partner with the SVP to define, communicate, and execute business vision, mission, strategies, and tactics that will support the transformation of the organization to achieve business related strategic and tactical targets. The position requires a highly collaborative leader who is articulate and can develop and maintain relationships as well as expand existing engagements with senior business and IT leaders, enabling us to better understand our customer needs and collaborate on solutions. This leader is responsible for delivering high value, quality driven shared services driving consistency across IT Operations for business operations and reporting, program and project delivery, compliance and operational risk management and client and employee engagement. This position is the central hub for business management of the IT Operations organization including financial management and results (budgets and actuals), business operations strategy and long-range planning, investment portfolio governance, internal and external communications, business operational reporting and people programs. Additionally, BMS manages the project governance and business management cross portfolio functions driving consistency and standardization to realize efficiencies across the organization. This position provides leadership to and is accountable for performance and results through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff. This position will consistently support compliance with the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanentes Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of Information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to the applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanentes policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities
• Maintain an understanding of strategic priorities across EBS, KPIT and KP overall, to align IT Operations to broader organization strategies
• Establish investment priorities for IT Operations based on strategic priorities and the overall portfolio
• Define governance methods and processes for consistent use by the entire organization
• Vendor management and license utilization tracking for enterprise network, messaging, and collaboration contracts. Ensure commitments align to demand requirements, avoiding unnecessary costs.
• Establishing a clear internal social strategy.
• lead a program management office for IT Operations
• Drive portfolio management and maintain a holistic view of all work efforts, overseeing project stand-ups and conducting periodic operational reviews across the portfolio, including all initiatives, projects, investments, and improvement ideas, agnostic of funding sources
• Oversee business case development standards and processes, business case execution, and attainment of targeted benefits and project metrics
• Lead risk management and compliance strategy, establishing standards to be executed in a distributed manner throughout the organization, and oversee the execution and adjudication of risk reviews
• Lead efforts to make IT Operations more business operations data-driven and determine data analysis tools and resources to support analytics efforts across the organization
• Lead organizational knowledge management efforts to facilitate creation, sharing, usage, and information
• Drive organization-wide adherence to standards for supplier engagement, management, evaluation, and performance reviews
• Consulting and collaborating with key business stakeholders across Medical groups, Regions and Program offices, CDO, TRO and other IT portfolios
• Oversee asset management strategy and approach
• Lead people management activities to drive overall workforce engagement and development
Experience
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum twelve (12) years of progressively more responsible roles in high-level leadership roles in IT operations, including leading development of strategy and successfully executing same within large scale, highly reliable national or global IT operations.
