This Role In Summary
This Sales Manager role will lead the Whirlpool Corporation business at two of our largest independent retailers within the Retail & Builder Sales Channel, one of which is our largest exclusive dealer. The new Sales Manager will be responsible for our complete portfolio of Whirlpool Brands; Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, JennAir, and Amana. This is a highly visible role leading large strategic accounts with great opportunity for growth. Candidates in this role work fully remote and are required to live in the Fort Myers Metropolitan or Tampa territory with a willingness to travel as needed.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
• Build and maintain a strong relationship with account leadership, store managers, sales associates and key process partners within these strategic trade customers
• Develop pricing, programming and marketing plans that are complementary to the business
• Employ category management and “consultative selling” with Point of Sale & inventory analytics, resulting in buying & flooring recommendations to gain share in the marketplace
• Deliver revenue, margin, share goals and accurate volume forecasts
• Partner with sales associates to develop and maintain a strong builder pipeline
• Manage allowances and local merchandising funds to maximize return on investment
• Share best practices and lead special projects as needed within the region and channel team
• Work closely with the Retail & Builder Strategy team and merchandising team
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors’ degree
• 3+ years of strategic selling and negotiating in the home appliance marketplace

• Strong presentation and product training skills
• Analytical and continuous improvement mindset
• A desire to learn, lead oneself & coach others
• Exceptional communication skills and detailed follow up
• Strong financial acumen including P&L understanding
• Strong knowledge of Whirlpool operations and support functions process
• Experience as a sales market manager
