Job Description
Introduction:
This document outlines the job description for an intern or co-op position within the Product Engineering Department. The role primarily focuses on compiling data for new and existing products, analyzing operational data, and assisting in the operation of the Lab Development Unit (LDU). The position requires the ability to work both independently and under supervision to support various aspects of product development and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
• Data Compilation for New and Existing Products:
• Collect and organize data related to new product development initiatives.
• Gather information on existing products, including performance metrics and customer feedback.
• Compile data from various sources to support decision-making processes.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of collected data.
• Operational Data Analysis:
• Under direct supervision and guidance, analyze operational data pertaining to newly designed or modified products, processes, and materials.
• Utilize analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to interpret data and propose solutions for optimization.
• Lab Development Unit (LDU) Operation:
• Under loose supervision, oversee the operation of the Lab Development Unit (LDU).
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
• Follow established protocols and safety guidelines for operating the LDU.
• Coordinate with team members to schedule and prioritize LDU usage for new product development or quality assurance purposes.
Qualifications
• Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
