What we’re seeking:
Frontier Communications is seeking a talented and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our network analytics team. As an ML Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging advanced technologies to develop and deploy AI solutions to optimize network performance and elevate customer experiences. In this in-person role, you will be required to report to 1919 McKinney Ave, Dallas, TX to complete your work responsibilities.
What you’ll do:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for applying machine learning techniques to optimize network infrastructure and improve service delivery
• Develop and deploy machine learning models for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and network optimization, contributing to the enhancement of our fiber optic and DSL services
• Utilize Databricks and AWS platforms proficiently to design scalable and efficient machine-learning pipelines
• Implement and maintain production-grade ML systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and robustness
• Conduct a thorough analysis of data to derive actionable business insights, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes at Frontier
• Continuously research and experiment with cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and technologies to drive innovation within the organization

• Salary Range: $100,000 to $207,000
• 20 PTO (Paid Time Off) days + 10 paid holidays per year

What background you should have:
• Master's degree (with +4 years industrial experience) or PhD degree (with +2 years industrial experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models using Python
• Proficiency in Databricks for data processing, analysis, and model development and deployment
• Strong understanding of AWS services and infrastructure, including but not limited to S3, EC2, SageMaker, and AWS Lambda
• Solid foundation in statistics, data structures, and algorithms
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in the telecommunications or ISP industry.
• Familiarity with network optimization, performance analysis, or related areas.
• Knowledge of fiber optic networks and their operational dynamics.
• Previous contributions to open-source ML projects or publications in relevant conferences/journals.
