Edelman Financial Engines is seeking a VP of Integrated Marketing for our core financial planning audience to drive audience strategy, scale customer appreciation and understanding across the organization, deliver impactful and differentiated positioning and messaging, and drive marketing programs to deliver growth and brand differentiation. You’ll build and lead a team that creates focus across a matrixed organization, relying on influence skills and goals / critical metric alignment to drive impact. You will champion a culture that is grounded in curiosity, a growth mindset and accountability. You’ll partner cross-functionally with brand & creative, growth marketing, product, and planners to deliver a cohesive and unified strategy.
This is an outstanding opportunity to innovate at scale. This person will serve as a leader with vision and motivator within the organization to articulate and prioritize our prospective and existing clients’ needs to deliver the right solutions and experiences. They will do this by partnering with marketing (brand & growth), product, the planner organization and investment management to build the right experiences and quarterbacking the resources within marketing to deliver on the strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Quarterback the audience experience: lead the end-to-end strategy for acquiring, engaging, driving lifetime value and NPS for our core financial planning audience.
• Partner with brand and insights to define our target audience, supervise our competitive market dynamics, and deliver differentiated positioning and messaging and content to drive awareness and engagement.
• Establish and drive a collaboration model with growth marketing to deliver new customer acquisition and engagement across strategies, tactics, and channels.
• Leverage experimentation approach to drive ideation and growth across marketing, product, and planners.
• Align core audience strategy and programs with Workplace marketing to ensure EFE shows up as a unified brand and that we demonstrate standard processes and work across audiences.
• Set goals and achievements, budgets, priorities: work with business to align on goals, budgets, and priorities. This team serves as the single point / conduit between the business and marketing.
Requirements:
• 10+ years in marketing, ideally with mass affluent audiences and/or financial services
• Builds, cultivate and leads impactful teams with purpose.
• Expertise in defining a category or brand and driving alignment of an organization to deliver on the brand and audience strategy.
• Strong influence capabilities: a partnership mentality that brings people together, aligns across functions, focuses on influencing and celebrating team wins.
• Ability to drive a culture of experimentation, velocity, and accountability.
• Excellent leadership and communications skills
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $209,600 - $255,000 However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
