Support Center - Irving
Under the direction of the Support Center Talent Acquisition Team Lead, the Corporate Recruiter is a strategic partner in sourcing, interviewing and evaluating internal and external candidates for support center opportunities with Michael's. This person contributes to our mission by delivering High Performing Team Members to dive business results. The Corporate Recruiter will work closely with the HR Team and the business Leadership teams.
Recruiting, Planning and Analysis of Staffing Needs
• Sources, recruits and hires all levels of talent across the support center.
• Works closely with Human Resource Director to assess future staffing needs through key metrics and communicates progress toward goals on a consistent basis.
• As part of a centralized staffing model the Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner with their peers to share best practices, make recommendations on ways to simplify processes and support other business units as needed.
• Reviews individual performance weekly to ensure we are hitting all key talent acquisition metrics which includes time to fill.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with assigned business units to ensure results-oriented solutions to interim, short and long-term staffing needs, based on established headcount and department budgets.
• Continually source quality pools of applicants on a timely basis.
• Assess, interview and evaluate prospective candidates and applicants for employment with Michael's.
• Work with the Recruitment Coordinator to schedule candidate’s travel and interviews.
• Provide counsel to hiring managers on matters pertinent to internal mobility and external hiring to ensure adherence to established company policies and procedures; and compliance with local, state and federal employment laws.
• Identify new and develop existing relationships with external resources such as contingent and retained search firms, professional and community based organizations, academic institutions and corporations to source the market for quality hires.
• Ensure candidate diversity in prospective hires.
• Market Michael's to prospective applicants via a wide range of forums and networking events.
Reporting and Administration
• Maintain and produce relevant talent acquisition related reports.
Other
• Works on special HR related projects.
• Subject matter expert on the Talent Acquisition process.
• Proactively looks for innovative and new industry best practices around recruiting, interviewing and sourcing to ensure we are hiring top talent and all candidates walk away from their experience with a positive image of the Michael's brand.
Preferred Education
• Bachelor’s Degree. Emphasis in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Minimum Type Of Experience The Job Requires
• 3+ years of experience leading full life-cycle recruiting with an

• Previous experience with Workday
• Proven performance sourcing via LinkedIn

• Previous experience recruiting and sourcing for retail support center positions while hitting key talent acquisition metrics.
