Network Engineering Intern
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Network Engineer Intern to join our IT Engineering team for a summer internship! You’ll be part of a cross-functional team along with exposure to various concepts using tools and techniques from CDKs Enterprise IT team.
As a Network Engineering Intern, you’ll work with teammates on our network engineering team to help build and maintain innovative solutions. You will be responsible for creating, modifying, maintaining and supporting corporate network infrastructure and individual system components that enable business functions and IT Services while balancing availability, security, efficiency and functional requirements to help provide an optimized production service.
Most importantly, you have a love for solving problems, considers yourself to be a self-starter, possess strong communication skills, take pride in your work, and of course, fostering a team culture.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Management Info Systems (MIS), or relevant field
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for the duration of the internship program: June 10th to August 16th, 2024
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• Basic to intermediate understanding network operating systems and protocols like Cisco IOS, Cisco ACI, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, SNMP, BGP, etc
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred
• Basic to intermediate understanding of network topologies, routing, and switching
