The Sales Metrics and Inventory Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategy, aligning it with market trends, client needs, and our inventory positions. The Analyst contributes to achieving client KPIs by providing insightful sales and inventory analyses, influencing daily bid response strategies, and proposing actionable solutions to enhance sales outcomes.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
• Optimize inventory levels by monitoring trends, ensuring alignment with sales strategies and client priorities, and facilitating strategic actions cross-functionally with the sales and operations teams
• Assume responsibility for maintaining continuity in setting device prices, responding to customer offers, and managing auctions
• Provide recurring and ad hoc analysis on sales results and inventory levels, recommending solutions to exceed sales targets and client KPIs
• Support the sales process on Assurant’s web-based sales platform during peak periods by accepting, rejecting, and countering offers based on market dynamics and strategic objectives
• Influence daily bid response strategies, considering market dynamics, client requirements, and inventory status
• Utilize knowledge of buyer base to recommend products that support sales objectives, increase order values, and optimize asset values
• Manage the purchase order process to secure longer-term customer commitments
• Work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional Assurant teams
• Lead and manage small projects to completion
What are the requirements needed for this position?
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, math, data analytics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment working in an operations or online sales role
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Comfortable spending large amounts of time working on a computer
• Problem solving and investigative skills
• Ability to turn data into actionable insights and communicate effectively with peers and management team
• High level of comfort with numbers and basic math (addition, subtraction, percentages, etc.)
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management team
• Comfortable with change and ambiguity
• Very high attention to detail
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
• Proficiency with inventory management systems
• Experience with ERP systems; Oracle is a plus
• Knowledge of enterprise reporting systems (e.g., Power BI)
• Working knowledge of Supply Chain, Warehouse Ops
• Working knowledge of mobile phones, carriers, and OEM’s
Pay Range
$62,000.00 - $103,400.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
