The Device Sales Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding all sell through volume, revenue, and ASP sales target for their assigned customers and for discovery and onboarding of new customers aligned with inventory opportunities and needs. They are a subject matter expert on all available to sell inventory in all Assurant DCC’s and our various sales platforms and channels. They are fully informed of assigned customer business models and opportunities for growth and takes action steps required to support customers in a way that meets and exceeds Assurant and our client needs. Additionally, this role requires strong Excel skills and the ability to appropriately use data for effective sales price negotiations. Willingness to learn and operate independently in an online sales platform environment will be key to success. This role will be responsible for the development, planning, management, and implementation of all activities required to manage and grow existing and new sales channels and customer relationships to optimize device values. They must work to be fully informed on current industry market trends and other market intel, customer business models and opportunities for growth, and customer compliance and requirements. They will be expected to contribute creative ideas to drive improved sales processes and an excellent customer experience.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
• Understand and successfully execute the Device Sales Team sales strategy to achieve or exceed company, client, and customer sales metrics and goals
• Understand and utilize all available sales data to effectively manage, monitor, and report on assigned customer performance against goals and the overall sales strategy
• Manage assigned accounts to achieve optimal velocity and value for all aligned available to sell devices
• Negotiate effectively with customers to achieve highest possible ASP’s
• Build trusting, reliable relationships with customers
• Judiciously identify, onboard, educate, develop, and manage new customers
• Own and grow all customer relationships to ensure a healthy, growing, compliant, and strategic customer base
• Support international device sales upon request
• Drive engagement and an excellent customer experience, through customer education and feedback to internal teams to drive improvements
• Contemplate and advocate innovative ways to maximize device residual values while minimizing dependency on traditional disposition channels and sales regions
• Troubleshoot problems or issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions to Director and with cross functional teams
• Remain current and informed on market trends and intel as a Device Sales Team subject matter expert
• Ensure all sales activities are accountable, transparent, and include all required information and documentation for a controlled and compliant environment
• Perform other related tasks or duties as required or assigned
What are the requirements needed for this position?
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in direct sales experience
• 3+ years direct sales experience (experience in secondary market sales a plus)
• Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales plans and objectives through effective customer base growth and development, and refined negotiation tactics
• Experience using data metrics and analysis to set, measure, and report individual and customer performance
• A working knowledge of mobile phones, accessories, domestic carriers, and OEM’s
• Some understanding of supply and warehouse operations
• Experience in reverse inventory sales of mobile devices
• Effective communicator
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Pay Range
$84,100.00 - $140,500.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
