What You Will Do
The Quality and Training Senior Analyst is responsible for meticulously directing all patient access staff quality reviews and leading all training initiatives and interventions across the patient access department. Responsibilities include education curriculum creation and delivery, account sampling and findings presentation to staff and department leadership. The Senior Analyst will assist department supervisors and managers with developing staff training plans based on the identified training opportunities and systematically addresses ongoing training needs across the patient access department. This leader should be self-directing and must have demonstrated working knowledge and a high-level understanding of all aspects of patient access, quality assurance and training. The Senior Analyst reports to the Director of Operations Patient Access.
Job Description/Responsibilities
• Utilizes quality audit templates and system resources to identify quality issues; follows the flow of information in conjunction with standard staff workflows to identify and document process breakdowns.
• Quantifies the impact of process breakdowns using key performance metrics.
• Develops clear recommendations consistent with leading practice process to remediate identified quality issues.
• May conduct training classes to instruct employees on identified operational improvement issues and trends based on previous patient access quality reviews.
• Keeps management informed of quality trends and other factors impacting staff ability to maintain defined quality standards.
• Recommends updates to quality audit templates and training materials.
What You Will Need
• High School Diploma
• 5 years of experience in a patient access setting
• Ability to function effectively under stress of conflicting demands on time and attention and, sometimes, under duress from difficult personalities.
• Prior training and quality experience in healthcare patient access
What Would Be Nice To Have
• Bachelor degree
• Working knowledge of business office/revenue cycle operations
• Adult education experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft suite, including Excel, Visio, and Word
The annual salary range for this position is $57,300.00-$85,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
