Sales Development Representative
MoEngage is looking for a highly motivated sales development representative (SDR) for the North America region. The SDR will be reporting into the SDR Manager for North America, and the key responsibilities are generating sales qualified leads and pipeline through a mix of outbound and inbound prospecting activities. The North American team is small and growing so there are many opportunities to move into different roles as the team builds.
Responsibilities
• Generate sales qualified opportunities and pipeline through a mix of outbound and inbound prospecting activities.
• Account mapping/sourcing qualified leads that fit our target personas.
• Develop new business via telephone and mass communication such as email, research and social media to introduce our company's product and services and identify appropriate buyers within the target market.
• Analyze and identify how MoEngage can solve our prospects' engagement and retention challenges.
• Identify key buying influencers within these prospects to determine budget and timeline.
• Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
• Work with the marketing team in converting inbound leads for handoff to sales.
• Work with the Sales Development Manager to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet weekly/monthly/quarterly revenue goals along with other KPIs.
• Manage data for new and prospective clients in CRM, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate, documents are attached, and sales development dashboards are up to date.
• Share best practice processes across the team and adopt new best practices for success.
Requirements
• Must be based in the US or Canada
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience
• A bachelor's degree
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing remote environment
• You're comfortable collaborating with multiple teams, including sales development, marketing, and sales to help drive results
• Strong listening, conversation, and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Plus, if you have:
• Experience using a CRM (customer relationship management) system, web-conferencing software, or sales enablement tools
• Previous SDR experience at a SaaS company
