Both Seattle.
FB ML E5: 205/700/100
TC each year including target refreshers and bonus: 510, 443, 475, 508
OCI ML IC5: 245/930/40
TC each year (no bonus or refresher standard): 517, 477, 477, 477
OCI is slightly more in the first three years, but there is the annual vesting cliff each year, which is riskier than FBs quarterly vesting. Also, more stock exposure since the lack of refreshers mean I am locking in todays price for four years.
OCI is a higher level and might be a faster growth path in general. It is building out a new team/org. Getting promo to E6 at FB seems years off and only if I find a project at the right scope. However, FB has tons of problems and transferring teams sounds easy. Also, much better benefits.

Depending on the team at OCI you can do very interesting and rewarding stuff or you can be miserable. The catch? It’s also like that in every company.
My experience so far (3 years) has been very rewarding professionally. I learned a ton and worked on very interesting problems. WLB is the best I ever had (better than MSFT) and I’ve had hefty refreshers every year.
IC5 is almost the top of the IC (very hard to get promoted to IC6) but pay range is very broad (I think it tops at 800k). That also means you’ll have to do impactful things to get rewarded so you can’t just vest and hope for the best. I assume you are SDE3 at AMZN and IC5 maps to Principal so you get “promoted” while at FB you stay the same and have to start all over again to get maybe promoted in years.
I personally would never go to Facebook for multiple reasons (WLB and ethics mainly).
