UX Engineers/Design Technologists?

Mar 22 4 Comments

Was a software engineer, now a UX designer.

Kind of missing the problem solving aspect of software engineering and was wondering if I should maybe try UX engineering?

Has anyone else has gone through a similar journey or is currently a UX engineer and can talk about their experience?

I'm a Design Technologist. My education background leaned more towards design, with masters in HCI. What you describe sounds just like the role

  • Not UX but worked with plenty. UX is basically people who think they are too good to be graphic designers but aren't good enough to actually be product or engineering. It's a weird type of person who is satisfied with that so no wonder you are missing something in that role.

Did you fail out of engineering into UX? Or what happened?
