Illumina, good employer or not so good?

In the final stages with Illumina in San Diego. Currently living in bay area working at FB. Been in the valley for 10+ years looking for a change.

Would love People’s thoughts on Illumina. Any current or former employees views/advice would ideal!

      Second. On the software side many projects with high tech debt and understaffing. Really just depends on the team.

      By far the most political organization I’ve been a part of. Not a lot of great programmers either. Glad to see we’re recruiting people capable of getting FANG type jobs. Maybe the place will turn around.

      I’m curious, why did you leave? Also, is the compensation there close to Bay Area wages or less due to cheaper cost of living down there? I’d assume the packages are base, RSU, bonus and sign on?

    Base is low bonus is poor but stocks are good .. salary is about 10 knlower than bay area illumina salary ..overall salary is on par with intel qualcomm but much below google fb etc
