Interviewing for an L5 PM role. I am told that the loop set accordingly by the HM for that position.

Had 2 Tele, 4 Onsite and pending BR

YOE is 11

Any chances if the rounds went well that Amazon may uplevel to an L6?

Wasn’t sure when applying that it’s an L5 (else would’ve applied for L6) (I know, my bad, it’s my ignorance) - Can something be done now?

I haven’t spoken to the recruiter yet about the levelling, waiting to clear all rounds first - should I talk now or wait?

Need your help!!

    @OP please discuss it with the recruiter. I had a similar situation where my first loop was for L5 and was offered as well. But I pushed for a L6 role and was pretty firm with it as my interviews had gone pretty well. I felt that I would be more suitable for L6 and expressed the same with the recruiter. Although, I was denied at first but eventually they agreed. I just had another round for L6 and made it through an L6 offer as well. Good luck!

    Talk now to recruiter, they may add some more interview loops to convert to L6, if they're inclined for the L5 for you and you are able to convince that L6 is what you are actually looking for.

    Thanks L-Sex, I was interviewed by almost everyone at L6. Does that sound something working in +ve direction?

    No chances.
    When Amazon targets a level, the loop will be set up with mostly people at that level (with possible the br and hm being higher level.
    This setup will cap your level, because L5s cannot interview L6 candidates.
