Have the option of AWS or GCP to start tech sales career. Which is better long term, more prestigious name (for sales), best pay/WLB?

Personally heard better pay and WLB at AWS for salespeople. Experienced reps I’ve spoken to seem to be pushing me towards AWS but I’m looking for more opinions.

Basically, which will take me further long term?

What do you all think? (Sales people only pls)

Google cloud is currently experiencing a higher growth rate. So that's 1 factor.

True. I was thinking start at AWS for superior training and foundational knowledge then go to GCP in a greenfield role once I got closing experience

Google will likely pay more but AWS is significantly easier to sell and you’ll have more success. GCP is more of a niche cloud provider that struggles with larger production environments. If you’re looking to go somewhere to develop your careers you’re best off at AWS followed by MSFT Azure

We’re the leader in the space with over 50% of the market share and that gap is growing for a reason. That said, there are some of the more difficult aspects of sales that you won’t experience because everyone wants to talk to someone from Amazon

If I had to guess you'll more likely be working install base at AWS and greenfield at GCP. Maybe ask about this. At the AM level it doesn't make a difference but as an intern you'll be more marketable later on if you worked a greenfield territory.
