Foreign attorney with 2.5 years of US immigration experience and 3.5 years of foreign legal experience.

Have been finding it difficult to move beyond resume screening or initial conversations for legal roles in tech.

Could use advice/guidance from anyone who has gone through the process. I would also be grateful for any referrals. TIA.

This isn’t my specialty, but my impression is that few companies employ specialist immigration attorneys. Rather, it seems more common to hire generalist employment attorneys and to send immigration matters out to firms.

Of course, if you have been applying to roles that are explicitly immigration focused, my assumption doesn’t apply. Without knowing more about the types of positions you’re applying to, it’s hard to tell what the disconnect might be.
