Should i join amazon over startup for boosting my resume

Question in the title. does it really help to be in faang to get call from other recuriters.
Although amazon has lot of bad things, does it help in the long run. ?
Planning to join it and grinding LC for the first year at amazon and then changing company

    If you are from tier-3 college, then do join. Irrespective of all the bad reputation it will open a lot of interview opportunities which is not available that easily otherwise.

    If you are from tier-1/2 or have descent connection for referral then be patient and apply to other companies, where you are planning to go in long term

      i am from tier2 college but don't have good network. also, i get rejsctions in the screening rounds. That is the only reason i wanna join it. So, that atleast i get an opportunity with the company i want to work at

    SDE1/2 are most likely to be pipped. Not always for their fault. Try Microsoft if you want to play safe/smart.

    Hey, do join it for the brand. I know the benefits of this brand value, being from a tier-3 college and then working in a no-name startup.
    Spend 1 year here and then set you linkedin to “open to new roles”, and you’ll have all them big players’ recruiters reaching out to you everyday.

    Also, you can dodge pip, 95% does. If you think you’re about to sink, switch teams, that’s too easy to do and you get a leeway!

    Don't think like this. U won't be able to concentrate if u plan to move on very first day. I joined Adobe thinking it's a rest and vest. I am working 12+ hours a day. I am coming from a company where i was working 3-4 hrs. Its just we have to believe and let the new phase come. Amazon is a big brand to learn and grow

    Not my advice but .... I heard from folks to not jump ships very often in short span .... also in total 1.5 yrs(when you think to jump from amazon) of exp you would hardly have good amount of contribution in 2 projects(that too at amazon as initial 2-3 months would be wasted in understanding codebase and geting credibility inside team) and the odds of both of them being something worthful is slim.
