Just got an interview for this and was wondering about what folks know about this role. Whats the TC like? Career growth? What do people in this role even do? #data #uber

YOE? Location? Current TC? Role link? How do you land an interview with abs no clue? Low effort question get low effort answer.

      What a dick offoffoff.

OP don’t listen to them. It’s a valid question you asked.

What an a$$ hole this offoffoff guy is. Might be on his period or something. OP was asking a valid question. If you don’t like it don’t comment then. Btw OP when I interviewed with Uber people were pretty pleasant. Didn’t feel like the culture was toxic or anything. From what I heard Dara cleared up their culture issue a lot.

I was interviewing for lead insight analyst, and they quoted me the following splits
105/11/10 and 130/14/17 for the level above for SF.

    I'm just like ?????

Uber DAs get paid low. Trust me I’m one of them. Just accepted an offer somewhere else which jumped my base +60%

I'd say this isn't your average DA role, think more of an "SWE-light". (Lots of code writing, but less concern about code quality & reliability)

You'll mostly be working on writing scripts to automate Ops processes. (Python, some ETL, dashboards & Gsheets integrations).

In an Eng/Tech team, you'd be expected to write this stuff yourself but due to lower tech literacy in Ops teams they hire people to do it full-time.

If you're looking to transfer to a more technical role and need to brush up on coding, this might be a nice intermediate step. Otherwise; I'd recommend to steer clear and look for a better opportunity.

Yeah, best dodge this one as it would probably drive you insane or feel unappreciated.

We have lots of openings for more Tech roles, both SWE & DS. I recommend you take a look there (that is if other Uber didn't throw you off too much).

Thanks! I’ll definitely poke around. Odds of working with the other Uber are low anyway 😂
