As the title says, a recruiter for Google reached out to me, unsolicited. They asked to schedule a quick 30 min call to discuss opportunities. I have not applied to Google in the last 3 years and I have never had an interview in the past.
What does this mean? What kind of interview is this if not in the context of a specific role?
I feel that I am ready in my career to pursue a role at Google and have been preparing for the last few weeks but I didn’t plan on applying for another 6 months. How should I approach this?
Any info is appreciated, thanks!

Currently using educative.io but considering interviewkickstart.com for mock interviews. Open to suggestions.
If there are any roles you are interested in, recruiter will connect you with appropriate recruiters and makes your process easier. You basically skipped the resume screening/referral to get in contact with recruiter part.
They will also ask about your timelines, if you feel you are not ready and think you will be ready in 3/4 months down the lane, they will reach out to you then
