I have 3 roommates and we all regularly watch YouTube videos and stream. We usually hit about 1.2 TB per month. You should be fine if you are only downloading videos you are actually watching. If you are constantly torrenting in the background, well then you will hit the came in no time.

How many people in your household? Or more specifically, how many devices connected to your Wi-Fi? For a regular couple household with your regular electronics like TV, phones, laptop, iPad, 1 TB is more than enough. It also depends how much you stream... If your house is empty in working hours because everyone is at work, you won't have much usage even if you stream crazy after you reach home. It averages out.

3 people in household. 1 kid who watches Mickey Mouse videos on YouTube. House empty during work hours.

More than enough for you. Even with crazy usage when you are at home, you might not reach 90% of the limit too.

Internet in the Bay Area has data caps? Damn.

Isn’t it stupid. Home of IT has data caps.

xfinity also has a 1TB cap. Then they charge $10 per GB. Fuckers charge $55 for 100 Mbps plan and $50 for a 25 Mbps one. We need ISPs like starry to come to the bay area to break this att and comcast mafia.

They have monopolies. I’m not sure if anyone can do anything about it. We just have to suck it up and pay

They have monopoly on cable poles. We need wireless isp like starry in Boston.

I haven't read the other comments yet but when I cancelled my service with them, they advised they have a plan with faster speeds and no data cap for more money

Amazon gahe22 OP Jan 12, 2020

They did that? I have a contract with them for a year. And there is a contract breaking penalty.

I had no contract

Why not just get a better isp? Webpass? Sonic? Wave?

Amazon gahe22 OP Jan 12, 2020

They aren’t in my neighborhood.

Not in the bay?

I live in Bay area and haven't found options other than Comcast
