It did that. The comment section was brutal and almost universally pushed against the โwin at all costsโ notion. The response made me proud of my coworkers and to work at FB.
Whoever leaked it in the current climate with no context is a dick.
This is why we cannot have nice things.
That's like blaming telephone companies for enabling long distance voice conversation.
What I am opposed to though is manipulation for clicks and eyeballs. Taking user data and showing a feed that will make them click stuff and selling that data so outsiders can manipulate users?
