10k Uber stock from October 2014 today?

I did not take an offer from Uber back in 2014. Curious to know how much 10k stock units from October 2014 would be in today's date.

True. Just curious. Am assuming the stock split a few times since then.

~$0.5M based on rumored IPO prices

Stock must have split with funding rounds. How many units would 10k units from October 2014 be today?

Google praise Apr 13, 2019

Stock doesn't split during funding but gets diluted. Stock split doesn't create new stocks.

You probably would not have survived there :) given that time frame

There was a 4:1 stock split so it would be $2-3M

When was this?

After splits and refreshers you would be a multimillionaire even after tax.

Interesting i would have assumed reverse split

Uber TnNO36 Apr 13, 2019

Why would there be a reverse split? The value of the company has grown tremendously since then

Google praise Apr 13, 2019

I had an offer in 2015. Stock price was $39. Valuation was $51B. Stock price now is $56 (as per Careem deal). We can reverse engineer if someone can tell number of outstanding shares.

Valuation is double now which means stock price is also almost double (why almost: we need to consider some dilution)

Google praise Apr 13, 2019

So as per SoftBank deal stock price went to $33 for $48B valuation. At $76B, FMV of stock is $42. So it's definitely nowhere close to double.

Google yrUk68 OP Apr 13, 2019

Hi all, reading through these, it seems like I can assume 40K units (given 4:1 split) and multiply that by the stock price. Dilution doesn't seem to matter. Is my understanding correct? This amounts to 2M for a stock price of $50.

There was no split after 2015. Not sure about 2013-2014 though.

Uber gksishc Apr 13, 2019

Dilution matters, but that’s factored into the current fmv. Assuming 2014 offer, your calculation of ~2M is correct.
