Joined Applied Materials DDP 6 months back and absolutely hate it.
Ineffective and inefficient meetings
Micromanagement
Meetings with agenda and 200 people logged in and only 2-3 yapping away
No diversity whatsoever
No assimilation and training plan whatsoever
Seems like a dead end career here
Extreme high attrition rate , everyone on group is less than 2 years old
TC 210k, PhD with 7 years experience.
Any advice ? How to jump ship ? Iโm ok paying back sign on bonus etc - hate my life here .

I also recently joined at Applied materials and I am looking for new opportunities. This place is so much micromanaging and political. They donโt care for high level goal but they only think how to shine their spot.
I also thought about my sign on bonus but itโs okay to pay back too
I need better job to keep career development in more positive environment especially no micromanaging manger
