    I’d be slightly wary. The DNA market is in a slump and the covid situation have made things worse.

    I don’t work at Ilumina but ancestry is one their largest customers (alongside 23&me). Additionally all 3 had decent sized layoffs around the Jan timeframe.

      Of course it’s not going anywhere. That being said a good chunk of revenue comes from these dna kit companies. In turn, if ancestry and 23&me sell 40-50% less kits, there will be less business for Illumina.

      The company itself will always have business, but I’d find it hard to see a scenario where the decrease in revenue wouldn’t cause some sort of measures by Illumina.
