expecting offer from apple but have unvested stock i dont want to lose. afaik they’re offering highest base in my band. does apple match stock when hiring from another FAANG? most offer numbers i see on blind are transfering from a nom-FAANG company and rsu/join bonus numbers trend lower on blind then makes me comfortable. i dont want to seem unreasonable, i just want to at least match what i make now #offer #tech

I’m expecting that you’d be getting an ICT4 offer if you’re L5 at G. ICT4 is a fairly wide band and you can negotiate quite a bit.
If Apple recruiter talks about refreshers making up for lower RSU offered, please tell them that stock refreshers at Google beat that at Apple and stock gains are at best a speculative measure.
Apple has 2T in market cap. I’m sure they can take out 500k or so for an engineer :)
Over it’s still a better choice than the competing offer though. 125% stock growth since I joined vs 0% at the competing and about $13k of free stocks through ESPP.
