I’m interviewing for research scientist role at Meta for its US locations. The recruiter sent me a form called US work authorisation for meta.
I’m originally from India and currently located in singapore finishing a PhD in ML. What kind of visa would I need to get directly hired at US? Will I be even offered the job (even if I do well during the interviews) once they find out that I don’t have any work authorisation in US? Would they also be able to hire me at a different location if the US visa is not approved?
I already informed the recruiter about it and still they proceeded to take the interviews, I don’t want to spend time on the interviews while I know visa will prevent me to get the job.

Fill the form with all the details, the immigration team will get back to the recruiter. The recruiter will not schedule your next rounds until immigration team gives a green light for your profile 👍
Meta is very well to hire people from outside US, so I would say give your best for the interviews. Also if you do amazing they will go above and beyond to hire you.
All the best !
OP would most likely need H1-B
