This is dumb. Are we all getting spikes in dopamine from constant stimulus. Sure, but simply cutting yourself off for a little while will not accomplish much if you are going to return to the same behavior not long after.

Your body and brain don’t do well with constant huge shifts. So stopping one behavior will lead to withdrawal which can then be dealt with until you reach a new balance. Resuming that behavior will quickly get you back to your same level of consumption but most likely worse because while the old pattern will be familiar it will no longer be as rewarding so you might justify doing it more.

In conclusion, stop following dumb fads. If you honestly think you could benefit from something start slow and make it something you plan to do forever don’t buy into the bs short term fix. Nothing that lasts comes quick or easy.

Being ‘Indistractable’ will be the skill of the future.

‘Dopamine fasting’ is simply a concept that attempts to address the challenges of living in a world full of distractions.
