I’m a HW engineer in the Austin, TX area trying to find a role that doesn’t involve frequent meetings with teams in China/India/Malaysia/etc. So far I’ve interviewed with Microsoft, Cisco, and Marvell and all have expected me to tolerate several of these meetings weekly. Is this just standard for the industry? Does anyone know of any companies that don’t expect this? I’ve been dealing with these meetings for years at Apple and I’m getting so burnt out. Honestly at this point I would be willing to drop TC for no evening meetings. Thanks for any suggestions!
