Unless things changed, RSUs are halved; you work on the enterprise stack I'm guessing meaning Salesforce integrations and the like (not sure).
Kinda second class to SWEs; you will need to interview to switch ladders.

But if it's better than your current job and you have no other offers I don't see why not.

    • I was wondering in non metaverse teams in FB, what do they work on? Fb app and messenger doesn’t have any major updates for years now and internal tools might be better to work on otherwise?

EE is very close to Swe.
Refreshers are little less but same tech stack and much better WLB

If the bar was actually the same there's no reason not to interview for SWE instead. Prestige is lower, number of teams with EE headcount is lower - it might still be worth doing but know what you're signing up for and don't take it unless the comp is good compared to where you are now and what you can get elsewhere.

    • How do we know if the bar is the same? They gave me the same prep material as SWE, so I’m guessing it should be the same bar, not sure though. Unless someone thinks otherwise?

  • My current thought process is get into a better company and switch internally if need be. I am a full stack dev. Recruiter said EE would be full stack as well, so was thinking to consider. EE TC would be better than my current one, so planning for the switch if no other offers by then

Don't count on switching internally - this is a ladder switch which usually requires reinterviewing (someone from Meta can confirm).
But if you don't have better options you can always take it and switch companies in a year or two.

    • The position would be E4 I’m assuming. And there are levels in E4 too?

I'd would say if you don't have other offers then why not? I switched from nontech company to Salesforce and doubled my TC.

Worst case you can just leave. Just don't get complacent and rusty on interview skills.
