Hey all!
I’m finishing up my interview loops and I’ve received 2 competitive offers and am having a hard time figuring out which role to take.
Both pay roughly ~180K/year and I have ~2YOE. The main reason I’m looking elsewhere is because I don’t see a long term future with my team and am looking for a company with strong engineering talent to grow.
For disclosure the companies I’m talking about are
Adobe and Amazon.
Adobe
Pros: insane WLB, practically WFH
Cons: boring project, seems like the team members aren’t very motivated(this can easily affect my growth mindset)
Amazon
Pros: a lot of interesting projects and ownership, strong engineering talent (people who hustle n grind)
Cons: infamous WLB per Blind
This early on into my career should I still look to grind it out or should I just put in the 40 hours and get paid the same at the risk of not advancing my career. Any advice/experiences are appreciated
TIA!
P.S. located in Texas
UPDATE: took Adobe, focusing on life outside work. Peace out blind ✌️

You are at a very early stage in your career, and should be focusing on growth. Amazon will give you the technology exposure that will greatly help you in the coming years.
Adobe is a retirement place – great if you have 10+ years of experience, semi optimal for someone just starting.
Go for a job that offers you the most growth opportunities. If you have any extra time on your hands, find a side hustle and learn about investing and finance.
