I am going through the interview process and am yet to hear back on the official total compensation numbers, but I am expecting pretty similar numbers from both companies. I've been working 1.5 years as a developer and wanted to see which would be better on the resume for potential long-term growth or other opportunities. On the one hand, Spotify's culture and wlb sounds super chill and there is some uncertainty with Amazon there. But from what I understand, it's relatively easy for Amazon employees to change teams/locations even for SDE1 if one team is stressful, and it would probably offer more growth opportunities and look better on the resume for future. For developers who have around 4 years of experience and are looking for opportunities, does having Amazon vs Spotify make a significant difference, or then is it more about what you did vs where you worked. Thoughts on any aspect of this would be really appreciated. #amazon #spotify #relocation #spotifycareers #worklifebalance #amazoncompetitors #engineering #software
