Our countries donโt offer all these programs yet we want US to give us everything?
When you got whatever visa you have, there was no agreement between you and the consular officer about future immigration prospects.
Otherwise, I wonder why I canโt just go to India/China/Switzerland/Germany/X and become a permanent resident. Yet, we want to go to US and feel entitled to residency.
I am literally talking about Phds that invested a significant amount of time doing research and creating value. Then going to work at top companies and will be paying 100s of thousands of $ of taxes for a long time.
At this point, I think being an illegal immigrant is an easier route to getting a green card than being a highly qualified individual.
In other words, the US should welcome and retain exceptional talent, but not allow foreigners to come and get trained and then return to their home countries who are our geopolitical enemies (China).
