I am about to re-join my current company in Massachusetts after some issues related to my immigration status. I joined them last August and they paid me 80K annually for Automation QA Engineer position. Overall I have almost 4 years of experience, good performance at work. The thing is, I had to quit this company for 2 months. But now I have my documents back so I am eligible to work in the US again. They offered for me to come back and sent me an offer. Last August, I signed the offer that suggested me the same rate as of today's offer, but the inflation has skyrocketed this year - prices went up by at least 8.5% - and I would like the salary to reflect this adjustment, if possible.
Tech stack: Java, Groovy, Selenium, Jenkins, Docker.
Do you think I should negotiate with them?
