Is the work of software engineers at Google really something extremely difficult? I got an offer and will start soon and I’m now mentally prepping myself and wondering if the job will be very exhausting / hard core compared to typical software developer jobs at non-FAANG companies?

They dont use any IDEs or compilers at google. All SWEs directly convert business logic to assembly in their head. Then they read entire codebase once to solve all merge conflicts mentally and readjust the assembly before pushing code directly to prod.
They dont test code either, because the 1000x devs write perfect code.
I know because my girlfriend works there. You won't know her though, she goes to another school.
