I used to think I would have to work at a company forever. But then I found FIRE - the movement about saving to retire early.
However something about it didn't sit right with me - I didn't want the focus of my work to be to NOT work. I actually like coding. And that mentality was making me hate coding, just because I was suddenly aware that I was forced to do it.
I started doing some research and found that it's actually not that hard to build a sustainable business online nowadays. And it doesn't require that much luck or funding - you basically just need to find a gap in an existing market - a place that a product is needed. That is the secret. And doing that is easier than you think. Its work, but its straightforward.
Plenty of the big players today started just like that. Nothing has really changed. And if you know how to code you're like 50x ahead of most other people who are just getting started.
What are your thoughts - Have you considered a side hustle? Just don't know how to get into it?
