Benefits for getting EAD if not GC

I know some of my friends got EAD because filling date it current but longest to go to get real GC. Do you guys think there are much benefits of just having EAD. Please highlight some of you know

    If you abandon h1 status and stay directly on ead and your 485 is denied, you are out of status immediately unlike h1 you have 60 days to find someone to help transfer h1.. that’s why many people continue to maintain both.

      Meta, so pretty much if your violated your status that is ground is denial. Question is your big violation was. There are some provisions to protect yourself through something called section 245K...
