Logic dictates that increase in interest rates will shift demand from buying towards renting.

  It doesn’t matter how many people dump money into investment properties as the supply is fixed with an anemic growth rate far behind demand growth. Changing a property title from one party to another doesn’t increase housing supply. Rental prices only considers housing units vs housing demand.

  Rent won't be decreased. They throw in 1-2 months free. That way you are on the hook for next year with high rent. They can't increase in one go if they give it at low price.
