Stripe Offer: 273 yr 1, 233 yr 2, 213 recurring TC (+ bonus/refreshers)
Plaid Offer: 232 yr 1, 197 recurring TC
Scale AI Offer: 217 yr 1, 197 recurring TC
Google Offer: unknown, pending product area match

Updating post with a couple newer options, team is unknown for all. Stripe has annual value grants which limit upside but I may be able to start early 2022 to join before potential IPO.

Currently leaning towards Stripe/Plaid, would love to hear anyone's thoughts especially if you work at one of these places!

  • Plaid probably has the best engineering culture and growth upside in the near future.

I can’t speak to that with Plaid. I’d argue that the refreshers wouldn’t matter that much if your stock doubles and you’re making ~300k TC from your new grad offer. At end of the day, you’ll be fine with any of these. Pick the one that you believe in and you’ll be just fine. Congrats on getting your career started in a big way!

    • If you think Stripe is more interesting then go for that. Compensation should not be your top priority as a new grad.

So to start with, the comp as a new grad DOES NOT FUCKING MATTER. I know it's really hard to accept as a new grad when 10-50k sounds like a lot of money, but it's not. So please please please do not make a decision based on what will amount to rounding errors in your career.

Instead, look at the area and team which most excites you. Which of the teams you ha e talked to sound like they are going to take over the world? Who sounds like they are coasting? Etc.

    Very broad advice would be:
    Stripe > Google > Scalr > Plaid

But that doesn't take your team into consideration which matters a lot.

To give some perspective, joining deepmind would pay the least of all your options, but would still be the best opportunity

yup this guy is right. New grad TC doesn't last for more than 2 years and you will be paid mid to senior lv TC very soon. Finding the right team where you can bring impact is very very important
