Is the culture at Splunk really that bad?

Headed into Round 2 of interviews at Splunk for a non-engineering role. There are some pretty awful Glassdoor reviews that seem relatively consistent in terms of their criticisms. If it’s that bad then it’s definitely not a place I’d like to work. Any experience from Splunkers in non-engineering, non-sales roles?

There is no path for internal development. The company has an obsession for hiring "experienced" managers from large companies instead of developing talent from within . They hire non tech managers and then ask them lead engineers .
Pros
Great pay and stock has room for growth
If you ignore the politics and put your head down its a great product and you can create impact
Just not a long term company, if you are looking for a short fling , splunk is for you
