What is the official policy for green card filing at Amazon? Recruiter told me that standard policy is to wait 6 months after joining to initiate the green card process. EB category is determined by the lawyers and if I fit into EB1 bucket, they will file one. Does anyone know if they can start the process as soon as I join? And how much willing are they to file EB1 for PhDs with decent publication rceord. The position is L6

I heard amazon doesn’t do EB1B. They’ll only do EB1A. Please check with the recruiter if that matters to you.

Don’t spread misinformation if you are not sure. EB1B is much easier than EB1A. And for EB1B, you need employer to file your case.

EB1A can be filed by foreigner without having any job in USA... why would amazon file EB1A case for its employee? Seriously!!! I hate it when I am looking for something on blind for things which I don’t know... and then I find people commenting who don’t even have a basic knowledge and act like expert... Disappointed 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

You can start on day1. Officially there is no restriction. It’s just a small manager approval
