I am currently making 300k 5 YOE remotely in a MCOL city. My job is pretty chill and the team is nice but I would still want to get to senior level which seems like it's going to take another two years or more. I am in my early 30s and I really want to at least get to senior. Also Google's internal promo to L5 TC is only around 330k.
Would it be worth the jump if I can land some remote senior offer around 400k? I am targeting Meta, Dropbox, Uber.

Whether itβs worth it is very personal. Apparently the trade off is you are going to spend much more effort in the new job to ramp up and keep performing at a higher level. But you get more personal growth.
Iβd worry less about money. With your google income in MCOL you are all set. Just make sure to maximize 401k and Roth back door. Invest all your savings in a three fund portfolio and your financial situation will be all set.
