Uber racial discrimination continues ....

I told you so - it’s the worst place culturally , if you are liking it you are part of the problem :)
Whatever you complain there are some old timers who are no directors and senior managers (obviously they keep getting promoted) despite they having discriminated- and there is no way others can say anything about t - Uber is protecting many who discriminate - and I can personally (coming from Uber: someone who knows a lot who left Uber and who are still in uber ) tell you that. Sadly I don’t have the courage to speak out without blowing up my identity .

      Overall...too much noise and not much in terms of effective strategy, badly communicated and publicized efforts to get more women into high level leadership. The end result was 45/50% split for leadership roles (we’re literally talking a sample size of a total of maybe 20-30 people at that level) but due to badly explained results now all the company sexists think women get preferential treatment. In short, we promoted 1-2 women to VP , a few to director levels (some of those few are incompetent, just like a large number of our male directors) , announced it as a huge success and made it worse for every other woman in terms of overall hostility and scrutiny they face from esteemed company sexists.
      Other than that absolutely nothing happened.

    Uber definitely has issues it has to solve, but "if you are liking it you are part of the problem" ? Seriously, OP ? You realize that in any large organization it's simply impossible for every employee to know every thing going on in the org. Entirely possible that many of them like Uber because they & their friends have had good experience.
