How is work at Google Hyderabad. i am currently interviewing with them and lately getting a negative vibe with google(cancelled promos, perf cycles and some noise around cost cutting) . Some even asked me why i was trying to change my company at all.#engineering #google

    TLDR: Don't accept anything less than L5 at Google and you should be fine.

      I focused more on taking on difficult tech challenges which have good business impact. Got a good mentor who gave very good suggestions and believed in the process overall. One thing really which helped me are the honest discussions with mentor about strengths and weaknesses. Later we just tracked through the progress and documented the whole journey. One other factor which helped me was supportive management otherwise very hard to get the right opportunities to move forward

      Was an intern and later joined a growing team. Had a good SDE3 mentor(I was lucky here) in my first project itself. Later on got promoted to SDE2 with previous efforts. Next many engineers(SDE2) left my current team. I stayed back and focused on projects which they left behind. Overall the team was growing and not many old folks were left and so management I guess invested in my growth.
