Hello All, I've worked in Supply Chain Management since the last 4 years and hold a Master in SCM. Just wanted your opinion/observation on how useful are APICS certifications for Supply Chain roles. do they help get interview calls? do they actually enhance the quality of a Supply Chain Professional? I'm targeting Supply Chain roles at #Walmart #cummins #amazon #tesla #apple among others. Thanks!
I’m in the same boat. Agree that it doesnt teach anything more than what we learn in Masters/on job. But I see so many jobs with APICS certification in prefferd qualifications .
I’m supply chain at Tesla and have literally no idea what APICS is nor will I google it to find out. You need two things to land Tesla. 1) Believe in the Mission and 2) Know your role - or commodity. Both need to be strong in my book.
No ones cares about the certification. With masters and work ex of 4 yrs, what value add is the certification?
Thanks!
So how else can one make their profile standout?
