I don’t mean a true conversion from google. Something like: Making y in the Bay Area is about the same quality of life as x LPA. I’m not Indian and see salaries and have always been curious. Thanks!
You cannot put value on sewer smell, clean air, teslas, and single family homes on large lots. There are somethings money can’t buy in India.

Not true about the 5X part. Salaries are crazy india, Salesforce SMTS pays ~90L, coinbase/Uber,Amazon L5 pays 75L+, MS/Atlassian SDE2s get 75-80L nowadays. An good G L4 offer touches 90L in india, that’s like $120K A good Amazon L6 SDM offer touches 1.6Cr, that’s like $215k Maybe you can say 2.5-3times, like: Indian Salary x 3 = Equivalent to Seattle Salary
That's not what he's talking about. He's saying you need the same salary x3 to maintain the same style of living
