Hi All - first-time poster....
I have received an offer from a local marketing agency for 70k with a pension, great benefits, more PTO, holidays off, and affordable insurance.
Was leaving a job (making 62k) for this job.
My current company came back and counter-offered at 80k to meet salary and offset the horrible benefits (expensive insurance, low 401k match, etc.)
I need to make a decision but pretty stuck.... jobs are both media buyers (my old job is in B2B and my new job is B2C) #jobquestion

I do fear if I take the counter, they will add more work to my plate because I'll be the highest-paid in my dept.
You can always take the counteroffer back to the new company and see if they will match. I've heard from a few recruiters that most people who accept a counteroffer only stay at the company another year. If that's the case, would you be okay restarting job hunting in a year?
I might also think about if you want to be in B2B or B2C long term. Further into your career it might be hard to switch from one to the other.
